Description

This is watercolor, ball-point pen and marker on
8 1/2" - 11" drawing paper.
Being one of the most challenging peices of art I've yet to create, there were a few mistakes in this.
The Moon Clock has a roman numeral on it that I don't even think exists. (IV supposed to be IIII)
But I don't mind much and I really just think its funny that I got all the way to the inking process before noticing. :)

The sky was very frustrating. I only had one watercoloring brush that was relatively small. So you can notice all the small brush strokes.
Overall this was a very fun peice of art to create and I enjoyed every last minute working on it.

There is a short poem to accompany this painting:

The Hermit's Life

At the very peak
of the spiny sharp krags
There lived a hermit
a very old lad

Not a visitor visits
Not a ring on the phone
The hermit sits in his cabin
wondering alone

But one day he smiles
as he knows it's his last
And he looks out his window
to the city so vast

He hears the hum of the motors
the beeps of the horns
He see the slow moving headlights
on the long winding roads

Then right before he breathes his very last breath
He hears an owl whooing out on the deck
And as he slips into his eternal sleep
The wise owl crys out it's sad screech:

Whoooooo?
Whooo?
Whoo will remember this old lonely man?

You were right the first time, the Roman numeral for '4' is correct as IV !
